Germany’s Metro may acquire Russian companies

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- German retailer Metro could purchase Russian companies, CEO of the local division Boris Minialai said at a trade fair on Tuesday.

“The strategy evidently envisages asset acquisition and signing of partner deals in the future, it concerns both Metro in general and Metro in Russia,” the official said.

Minialai said that the company will also continue developing its Russian franchisee brand Fasol. He said that about 200 stores are open and their number is to triple each year in the next three years.
